Located inside the recently renovated Riverview Plaza Hotel, Fathoms offers dishes inspired from our local surroundings and crafted by Chef Clint that are upscale, casual and trendy with a touch of Southern flare. Starting daily at 6:30am we have a full service buffet including made to order omelets and waffles as well as our full breakfast menu with all your favorites and featuring Illy Coffee and Espresso beverages. Starting at 11am daily is lunch, with our large dinning room and tables it creates the perfect opportunity for a work group luncheon or a quick bite to eat. 5pm signals the end of the work day and the start to dinner. Come join us for live music, great ambiance and a soft candle light dinner featuring items such as Sweet Tea Brined Pork Chop, Catch of the Day or a mouthwatering Ribeye. After dinner, starting at 10pm is late night, perfect for unwinding with one of our late night appetizers and a delicious cocktail from our full service bar open from 2pm-Midnight.

I had reservations and it took 20 minutes to even get a water. The food took a hour to come out. The blonde manager was rude. I could understand if they weren’t given a heads up they there would be a large crowd but they were and to make matters worse I could see open seating and it took 30 minutes to get our table that had been RESERVED and the table we were seated at had been empty from the time that we arrived. However, we ate by the next morning and the food, service, and management were top notch.

I completely understand this time of the year every restaurant is busy. Tonight appeared to be slower than normal. We arrived 15 minutes prior to the party we were meeting. We were seated fairly quickly. The hostess left us four menus as there was a party of four. Within a couple of minutes the host came back around and collected two of the four menus. When the other party arrived to join us. They finally returned the other menus. After approximately a 30 minute wait because we weren’t buying drinks the waitress came back around to take our food order. To receive our food was roughly 45 minutes again does appear to be a fairly slow night. Two of the meals arrived at the same time the third meal arrived approximately five minutes later and after 40 minutes of waiting, I finally told them to just cancel my order as everybody else has already finished eating. The manager came over and apologized and said she would remove the meal from my bill. But told me to go ahead and take the meal home with me. When the server came back with my bill. The meal was is still on it. I told her I wasn’t gonna pay for the meal. She looked at me and proceeded to say fine and snatched the to go box off the table in front of me and walked away. So I’m not sure who’s running the restaurant the manager or the server. But regardless, I would give service a extremely poor rating. As the manager needs to determine who’s actually in charge. As far as the flavor of the meals. The other parties with us said it was mediocre for the price point. There are too many good restaurants in downtown Mobile to ever go back to a restaurant like this with poor service and mediocre food at a high price point.

GREAT atmosphere, great service, and wonderful food! All burgers are great! Lemon pepper wings are a must. You can’t go wrong with flatbread, pizza, crab cakes, heck just try it all! T Raley

There was confusion with our OpenTable reservation. You should call to confirm. We were put at a small table not appropriate for a dinner. Red Snapper and Ribeye were delicious, as were the sides.

The service was attentive and the food was really good. I had the shrimp scampi linguine and my friend had their blackened grouper. Both were really good.

The service was good and attentive. The food was okay but not that great. I could go somewhere else for dry fish or small portions of beef. It's fine for hotel food but not for a dining experience.

Nice atmosphere but very noisy. Host and manager checks on guests throughout the visit which was very nice.
