Last year, we attended Danfords’ Brunch with Santa and were thoroughly impressed. It was such a wonderful experience that we left feeling excited to make it a new holiday tradition for our family. Santa was warm and engaging, the decor was festive and magical, and there were cheerful elves walking around, adding a playful and whimsical touch to the event. The food, too, was solid—a well-curated spread of classic brunch options that catered to both kids and adults. It was everything we could hope for in a festive, family-oriented holiday outing.
Fast forward to this year, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet the expectations set by last year’s event. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that things had changed. Santa didn’t quite capture the same magic. While he did his job greeting children and posing for photos, he lacked the warmth and energy that made the experience so special last year. The decor was still nice, but it felt less festive overall, almost as if something was missing.
What truly stood out was the absence of the elves. Last year, they walked around engaging with families, creating a sense of joy and liveliness that added to the atmosphere. Without them, the event felt more subdued, and it was harder to feel immersed in the holiday spirit.

Some dishes that stood out before were missing, and what was offered just didn’t deliver the same flavor or presentation. It felt like a corner had been cut somewhere, and that was disheartening for an event we were so looking forward to.
Overall, this year’s Brunch with Santa didn’t feel like the same event we fell in love with last year. While we understand that things can change year to year, this was such a drastic shift in quality and ambiance that it left us feeling disappointed. It’s
