Located in Midtown Village, Libertine is Derek Davis’s contribution to the Philadelphia food scene and celebrates the history and future of our great city. Chic, sophisticated and playful, the indoor dining and bar area with seasonal outdoor seating running along the entire length of the property at Spruce and 13th Streets. The contemporary American menu is planned seasonally around what is available and freshest at the markets and complimented by scratch specialty concoctions, 20 wines by the glass, and a significant handful of local craft beer. “Good Eating, Drinking and Fine Hospitality” is served every night of the week and brunch on the weekends.

Our experience at Fia was ok. It wasn’t bad but it was really nothing to come back to. Immediately upon sitting down we were informed we could only stay 90 minutes. We were ok with this as we were catching a show right after. The menu was confusing. We had to flag down the server to ask for an explanation. Drinks were the best of the whole night.

This is a very interesting restaurant serving what they call Afro-Latin cuisine. The food is mostly quite delicious with flavor combinations rarely found around Philly. The salads were excellent, the shrimp dishes outstanding, and a crab soup pot pie was a star of the evening. Cocktails were well-made. No one at our table happened to have meat but I heard second hand that the pork chop and cowboy steak are great. At a neighboring table the whole fried fish looked very impressive. Overall a fun and delicious dining experience.

Great cocktails, delicious appetizers, plenty of food. Dined early to make a 7:30 show and food came out quickly. Service was great considering our server was also front of house this night. Would dine here again!

We arrived early because we were Headed to the Kimmel theater for a performance. We were seated quickly and the wait staff was and remained very attentive throughout the meal. We ordered the Cheesesteak Empanada as an appetizer and really enjoyed them. That was followed by the crab Bisque and two orders of Chicken and Waffles. The food was hot, well prepared and very good. The use of a box of CrackerJacks on each plate Of chicken was unique and tasty. The only downside was the waffles appeared to be prepared ahead of time and were lukewarm. We enjoyed the meal and are likely to go back next time we are in town.

We stopped here for dinner before a show at Academy of Music as it is really conveniently located. It’s fantastic! We ordered a bunch of stuff for the 3 of us to share. I was a little apprehensive because the I was dining with a 15 years old and 75 year who are not very adventurous diners. The choices were all very reasonable priced. We loved everything. Great service in a nice environment. Definitely will be here again before the next show. I can’t say enough great things about this place!

The menu listed on open table is NOT the menu at the restaurant. We were disappointed and there were three items on the small menu that were not available for a Saturday night?? Probably will not return

We were told at the end of our meal that we had to get up for another party. We were not notified at any point before being seated that there is a 90 minute limit. We were not even offered dessert, or allowed to stay at the table while one of us used the bathroom, located in the basement of the neighboring hotel.

Food was excellent, as was our server Josh. Missed the drink menu from when it used to be Libertine. Not quite sure what vibe they are going for - it’s comfortable but lacks focus.

I took my lady out on a date to this restaurant she was dying to go to, and I tell it was EXCELLENT. I ordered the burger (best burger I’ve ever had), she ordered the red snapper and that was amazing too. This is now our date night spot. The atmosphere was really quaint, the drinks were really good too. Can’t want to come back and try more off of the menu.
