We loved it!! Our server Denay was outstanding and provides excellent recommendations. All of the dishes had great flavor! Drinks were good as well. We’ll be back.

Food and cocktails were great!!! Highly recommend to anyone, the dishes were not only good - they were delicious. The type of dishes you look back too and remember when comparing to other restaurants as some of the best. The service provided was also great!

Fig & Olive truly did well with their Valentine’s Day prix fixed menu. The service was timely and our server had great knowledge regarding the menu and the newer items that isn’t found on the a la carte menu.
My only complaint is that the spinach that came w the strip steak bordelaise was a bit saltier than I would like but it was redeemable when building a bite w the meat, sauce and pommes puree.

We had the prix fixe lunch selection for restaurant week, and both of us ordered butternut squash soup and avocado toast. They were both delicious! Perfect in every way, and also an amazing value. The service was attentive, but not smothering, and everything about the experience was excellent. Look forward to dining at Fig & Olive again soon.

Great food. Massive plumbing problems in the bathrooms, flooded hallway, super slippery. Servers constantly want to take your plates away before you’ve finished.

This review reflects my experience dining out with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that requires me to maintain a diet free of gluten (including cross contact).
Fig & Olive was the perfect location at which to end Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week. Prior to making a reservation, I e-mailed the general manager to ask about accommodations for those with food intolerances and allergies (as the online Restaurant Week menu did not contain any allergy markings); I heard back within an hour with answers to all of my questions. I could reserve a table for up to seven online (via OpenTable).
Friends and I dined at Fig & Olive on the Friday of Restaurant Week. Our party was seated upstairs and served by Eliana. After taking our drink orders, Eliana confirmed allergies for those at the table. Fig & Olive requires all diners on a reservation to select either the à la carte or the prix fixe menu (you cannot mix and match). Our seven-person party went prix fixe.
For Restaurant Week, I ordered the baby arugula salad, the Atlantic salmon meunière (medium well in temperature), and the seasonal sorbet (raspberry
and mint, with strawberries, blueberries, and figs). The arugula salad was entrée sized and delicious; I also loved the sorbet--the juxtaposition of raspberry and mint was refreshing and a lovely way to end my meal. Unfortunately, the salmon was disappointing; it came out colder than I would have preferred, with vegetables that did not complement the fish and sauce. Everything, however, was beautifully plated and felt very safe; as the kitchen was well prepared to manage allergies, I did not experience any side effects from exposure to gluten.
To accompany my dinner, I ordered three Madras cocktails, all of which were delicious--well balanced, strong, and excellent complements to my dinner.
Fig & Olive allows use of up to three credit cards per check; to simplify payment, one of us covered the bill with us splitting later via Venmo.
