Flor de Maiz is the latest concept from the creators of Los Agaves Restaurants, located on Santa Barbara’s waterfront. Oaxacan inspired cuisine + modern mixology.
Xochimoyahuatl is the flower or spigot of the milpa, inspiration whose name, Flor de Maíz, has its origin. It is now how the tribes of pre-Hispanic Mexico venerated corn as the seed of life, between the creation and the sacred.
The staff was very attentive and friendly. The owner/manager? stopped by to ask us how our food was which was a nice touch. Shrimp empanadas were amazing as were the shrimp tacos. Wonderful cocktails and a great location. Would highly recommend it!

We had a fabulous time at Fiesta 2024 celebrating at Flor de Maiz! Our table was upstairs and the view was spectacular. Our servers were all so friendly and people dining had a great time. Such a beautiful restaurant and atmosphere. Food was great and chips and salsa too.
