Just not good...I wish it were otherwise, but it's just not. The tea was tea, so nothing to complain about there. They had a wide selection, however they were out of a few that I wanted to try. But no big deal I guess, I ordered others. The food is another story. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was good. The sandwiches were awful. The staple of any English tea, cucumber sandwich...the cucumbers were slimy & soggy, the bread was dry & tasted like it had been left out on the counter all night. Not sure if it was old or just a bad choice of bread?? The egg salad was rancid tasting. The other 3 were just not good. I don't believe anything had actually "gone bad" I believe it was just not yummy food. The sweets tray was worse. Obviously just mass ordered, nothing made in house. An English tea isn't right without a good scone with cream & what we were given was a hard, over dry mass produced biscuit with butter. And random other sweets that had no character or charm like an English tea should have. And to have packets of sugars & large spoons, versus sugar cubes & teaspoons??? It's these little things that make English tea, English tea & the price worth it & sadly this price was not worth it. The servers were kind & attentive enough. Were they tea experts, no, & again that's why you pay what you do for an English tea service because you want the expertise
