Owned and operated by John Crook and his partner Erik Heck, The Flying Pig Yaletown is referred to as a nouveau Canadian bistro in the community for its fresh, local ingredients and quality food. The restaurant opened for business in August 2011 and is known for its contemporary Canadian and seafood specials. It has a nice décor comprising of a combination of dark and light colored wooden furniture, along with brick style and white painted walls. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, and customers prefer to have brunch, lunch and dinner here.

The Flying Pig Yaletown has separate menus for dinner, lunch, brunch and happy hour. There is also a wine & beverage list featuring different types of drinks from the restaurant's full bar. The Flying Pig Yaletown has a private room reserved for small gatherings and special events, which can accommodate up to 28 people.

What a great place! We ended up staying until closing time. Great place to have a conversation and still enjoy a vibe and ambiance

I hadn’t been for quite some time and found that a couple of my favourite things were no longer offered. The food was tasty and well presented. Wine offering was only listed as a 5oz pour or whole bottle which was disappointing. A guest at the next table was offered an 8oz serving which made me frustrated.

Food was great. Chef should keep doing what they are doing. Really enjoyed everything. Fish, mushroom papardelle, and the skirt steak shareable.

We enjoy this restaurant because of the comfort foods like burgers and Mac N Cheese. Great menu selection for casual dining. It’s a very convenient place close to the Yaletown sky train station and a easy walk to BC Place, Rogers & QE Theatre.

Food & beverages were ok, the Beet salad was excellent and the seafood croquets were…meh…too mushy…should be chunkier…the server needs to look for something different..for work…hospitality isn’t his thing…very snarky and hospitable. We’ve been to Flying Pig often and service previously is outstanding. We were here yesterday prior to Grey Cup game and this is our first truly negative experience at Flying Pig

Had an enjoyable meal however the noise level was off the charts. Our server did not introduce herself and she also did not tell us about the specials (and there were a lot of them). Service was average but everything else was good.

Met out of town friends on a Wednesday - our waiter gave it a good college try but a strong accent & low voice started us off…the special was veal chop ..dull knives & gristly meat made for a less than average meal. Restaurant was dimly lit for a dark rainy night. Will not be returning.

We really enjoyed what was offered on the happy hour menu. Food was delicious and moderately priced. It would be nice to offer a few more beer selections. Overall great value and we'll be back.
