This was my 5th time at Fogo but my first at the Towson, MD location.
First the good: the food was prepared wonderfully, the Market Table great as always, and I found this location to be more comfortable than the downtown Baltimore location.
Now the not so good: it took 10 minutes before a waiter came to our table, as we sat there with an empty setup waiting. It took nearly a half hour for bar drinks to make it to the table. We initially were going to have the Best of Brazil deal, but our waiter convinced us to go for the full experience. As a result of the extra money I paid, only the filet made its way to our table. None of the other premium cuts for which I paid an extra $20 per person ever came to our table. I could have saved the money.
The waiter also tried to trick me into buying bottled water. He did not give me the option of tap, and seemed sheepish and embarrassed when i saw through his upsell scheme.
We were never once given or offered the cheesy bread with our sides, which was incredibly disappointing.
Overall, the wait staff service (excluding the gauchos) was horrible. We regularly went extended periods with no server interaction and no one seemed to notice we existed, as a result, our drinks went begging, our sides weren't replenished, and anything we ordered took forever. We ordered a dessert and I asked for more water. It took 15 minutes for dessert to arrive and no one brought water. When our desserts arrived, utensils didn't and the server told us someone else was bringing us spoons. They weren't. We had to get up and take spoons from the Market Table soup area.
Finally, 20 minutes after we were done, I had to flag a server AND a manager to ask for the check and *a refill of my water.*
I finally got my water and after another 5 minutes got the check.
We were there for nearly 3 hours for a meal that could have been finished in 2. The service was terrible and honestly it made the value for my money quite low.
