Located at Georgetown’s Washington Harbor on the Potomac River with a lively dining room, full-service bar, and a covered & heated patio, this farmer-owned restaurant is open 365 days a year serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekday happy hour, and a decadent weekend Farmers Market Buffet Brunch. Everything is made from scratch with simple, high-quality ingredients from farmers and suppliers they know and trust.

Expansive menus include an array of seafood dishes, sushi, pizzas, tacos, decadent desserts, Founding Farmers Chocolates, classic and tiki cocktails featuring spirits from their DC-based distillery, Founding Spirits. You can also swing by for a cup of house-roasted coffee and breakfast treat from their First Bake Cafe.

Server had an attitude from the beginning. She was the only one working, but was not busy. Would not go back for menu breakfast and just go to weekend brunch. From sit down to food coming out took over 40 minutes. Asked if I could add cheese to my hashbrowns and she said no. Couldn’t tell me if they had soda to order, said made to order beignets takes 15 minutes but took over 45 minutes and then gave attitude when I asked why we hadn’t received them after our other food came out. Her manager did most of the work vs her. If you dont like working in mornings or dealing with the public find another job.

Food lacked seasoning, French fries were soggy and not well cooked (gave the impression of old oil, so they boiled instead of frying). Ambience was ok, but the restaurant is overrated.

This was a flop. The service was very shabby. I understand completely coming in during a busy period, but our waiter neglected our table. Also, the food was under seasoned and the buffet was not full. This is definitely not worth the price.

Our server SJ was so good! Food was great as usual. French toast was a hit. Drinks were good and just as SJ recommended.

I love Founding Farmers in Georgetown but I think I like it better for brunch on Saturday and Sunday. I think this happened because they were very busy they forgot my food, my husband food came out but mines didn’t they forgot about my order, I think it happened because it was New Year’s Eve they were very busy. I just think it should be a better system on busy holidays services.They give us free cookies which was great but I really wanted my food to not be rush because it tasted like that no seasoning on the fish, shrimp or crab cake I was disappointed ☹️

Everything about this meal was OK. The service was a bit long winded. When the food came out it was either lukewarm or missing requests. We has to ask for refills- i believe the rush of patrons was just a bit much. Overall, i was not impressed but I was not hungry when I left.
