## Four Kings: A Nostalgic Journey Through Cantonese Cuisine
Step into Four Kings and be transported to a vibrant world of nostalgia and flavor. This San Francisco gem, helmed by chefs Franky Ho and Mike Long, serves up a modern take on Cantonese cuisine, infused with the chefs' personal memories and a playful spirit.
The atmosphere is electric, with 90s Cantopop tunes filling the air and retro Hong Kong memorabilia adorning the walls. The open kitchen allows you to witness the culinary artistry firsthand, as chefs prepare dishes like the signature **fried squab** and the innovative **mapo spaghetti**.
The menu is a celebration of bold flavors and unexpected combinations. Start with the **XO escargot with milk bread**, a decadent treat that will leave you wanting more. For a taste of tradition, try the **Hong Kong black peppered steak**, cooked to perfection and bursting with savory notes. Vegetarians will delight in the **garlic pea shoots**, a simple yet flavorful dish that showcases the freshest ingredients.
Four Kings is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's a place to gather with friends, share delicious food, and reminisce about the golden age of Hong Kong cinema. So come hungry, come curious,
Hokkian fried rice is the best thing I've eaten in a long time. Must get

A hard reservation to get for an early seating but worth it. Had a great meal and service was exceptional. The stand out dish was the escargot, something you would not see in most Chinese restaurants. The squab had nice crisp skin, like on peking duck, but was a bit greasy. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.

Excellent food. Ambiance is fine but nothing extraordinary. Service is good.

Four Kings was hands down one of the best meals ive had in a long time. The hot mustard jelly fish was awesome, the escargots had amazing flavor and were cooked perfectly, some places make it too rubbery but the texture was amazing! The claypot rice was good but my fave was the steak chow fun, those thick noodles & smoky beef were just the perfect definition of wok hei! Thanks for an amazing meal!

Fun to try their smaller plates for variety but the only dish that was stood out in flavors is the lamb skewer. The clay pot rice was a disappointment. Bathroom is a better experience with the lights off.

I felt service was nice but a bit slow, and I found most dishes either very salty or containing a mix of flavourings I was not sure worked - like small strips of squab skin drenched in a slightly sweet sauce that clashed with the Sichuan peppercorn they gave to dip or an extremely salty squid that had the essence of salt and pepper but was just so salty it was hard to taste much. The ginger scallion chicken rolled into a torchon thing is genius tho and I’d honestly go back just for that/to give rest of menu a shot potentially

Flavors were really good but all dishes were way over the top salty. Black pepper steak got points off for being too gristly and then sliced along (not against) the grain. Wouldn’t mind going again but only if someone else was paying.
