A walk through the doors into the fabulous Frankie Bones Restaurant & Lounge takes you back to the carefree style of the early 1960s and t's restaurants in the big cities across America. Frankie Bones serves coveted American-Italian cuisine seven days a week and is located next to WiseGuys on Main Street on Hilton Head Island and off Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton. Lunch at Frankie Bones is about signature sandwiches, homemade soups, fresh seafood, crisp flatbreads, entrée salads, and premium pasta dishes. Always fresh and always fabulous! Served from 11 AM until 4 PM, Monday through Saturday, Frankie Bones is the perfect atmosphere for a business or family lunch.

We ate this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday. Things started with a difficult hostess, trying to put us in a small booth in the bar area. When we asked for a larger booth, so we could sit together, she decided to sit us at a table. I spoke up and asked that we move to a booth since we were celebrating my wife’s birthday, and her body language totally changed, as well as her tone in her voice. that definitely put a sour taste in my mouth. I made sure to put on the OpenTable reservation that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. Once a server came, she seemed to want to rush us to order. I made sure to take our time since we were hoping to enjoy a nice meal together. We finally placed our order only to find out that one of the specials was already sold out for dinner by 645 at night. So I had to make a decision once again. when the food finally came out, nothing had any flavor. The steak was bland, my wife schnitzel was very bland. Mashed potatoes were cold. I’d also let the server know. I had an onion allergy and I’d ordered the stuffed shrimp. When I started cutting up the stuffed shrimp, it was full of onions. So I spoke up and she had forgotten there was onions in it so she decided to have my tire meal refilled. That took another 20 minutes. So my wife is sitting there eating her bland food while waiting on me. When the refi finally arrive, it was split up on two plates because the server made it error when re-putting it in. This time I was given grilled shrimp that was very rubbery and cold. The manager on duty made a joke that I had plenty of food to take home and I told him I would be giving it to my dogs. I appreciate that they ended up comping my meal, but that’s besides the point. You could hear yelling going on in the kitchen. It just did not make for a great place to celebrate a milestone occasion. The staff made no recognition for the birthday. It was just a very unsatisfactory dinner and I do not plan to return again.

Wonderful server, Megan (I think I got her name correct)!! She was enthusiastic and pleasant. My husband ordered the rib tips over pasta and said they were great; had the leftovers today for lunch. My kids got chicken and pasta and chicken piccata - their usuals - and I tried the ribs which were delicious.

Food was amazing as always and Marina was a wonderful server. Marina was warm, friendly, helpful and very accommodating to special requests. We love Frankie Bones!

I always enjoy Frankie Bones. It was noisy, as we sat in a two seater near the bar, but food and service were great. Prime rib was supposed to be medium, but it was rare. Other than that, nice experience. PS…the chocolate cake is delish!

My breakfast was just barely warm. For the price the portions were small. Almost 50 bucks between my wife and me. Left needing more food. Comfortable seating though are you done , ignoring you so there’s that.

The food is consistently going downhill. We have bern goin there for 3 yesrs. My clams and linguine tasted and smelled very fishy. Chicken milanese sauce not great. Liver and onions good as well as fried shrimp.
