                                What a hidden gem!!! So glad I trusted the reviews I read. In a small, older hotel (the Cole), but so wonderful! We were greeted by the chef, our server was wonderful and the food was outstanding! Would definitely go again when back in town!! Very intimate setting with mouth watering food. Highly recommend!!

                                What a wonderful dining experience! We have noticed Freddie's sign several times but this was our first visit and we were so impressed. We were welcomed warmly by Freddie and provided great descriptions of various menu items and the specials. He provided wine recommendations as well. Our server was also attentive and charming. Each bite was delicious. Highly recommend the steak tartare and the tomato salad as starters. The miso black cod melted in your mouth and was exquisitely flavorful. Crème brûlée to finish the evening was perfect. Will definitely return.

                                Freddie brings highly personalized French cuisine to Palm Springs. It is our go-to restaurant. The apps, entrees, and the desserts are excellent. The wines are also perfectly paired with the food. It is a great value, and they love dogs!

                                It was our first time dining at Freddy’s. We were welcomed by Freddy and a very nice waitstaff. The service was spot on. The three of us started with appetizers, escargot and the heirloom tomatoes salad, both outstanding. We were disappointed that they charge $5 for bread 😩. Besides that, our entrees consisted of the Elk medallions, short rib rigatoni and a miso cod. All three were very good. In my opinion the menu is a bit limited however all our food was delicious. Freddy’s is a small intimate quaint restaurant with a very animated chef Freddy! Give Freddy’s a try, you won’t be disappointed.

                                By far one of the best dining experiences, we have had in Palm Springs in a long, long time. Starting with the prices on the menu, a great value, Chef Freddie checked in on us with any questions and explained in detail the food options. We will be making this our "go to" from now on and make sure that we take our visitors here to share the experience.

                                A delicious dinner in a cute and cozy space. We enjoyed the mushroom strudel, peppered elk and wild boar. All were excellent and perfectly prepared. The flavors were reminiscent of dinners we’ve enjoyed in Europe. The chocolate mousse dessert was wonderful and not too sweet-just the perfect ending. Delightful and helpful service. The chef was engaging and seemed to enjoy talking with the diners. We can’t wait to return.

                                With respect to the food and presentation, our first dining experience at Freddie’s Kitchen at the Cole exceeded our expectations. Everything was delicious. The mushroom strudel appetizer was fabulous , the French Onion Soup superb, and both the Elk (with Juniper and Blueberry sauce) as well as the Barramundi special were outstanding. The dining room, however, fails to excite. A small front room of this once midcentury modern hotel, the room is too brightly lit for evening dining, and the paper napkins and bare tables diminish the otherwise delightful appeal of the meal. We will definitely return again; the food is too good not to do so. Hopefully, in due time, the team can dress up the room a bit (table linens would add substantially), dim the lights and add a bit of soft background music to elevate the experience. If the ambience were enhanced to the level of the food, Freddie’s would be a must for every Palm Springs visitor and local!
