We had decent sized party, we arrived 5 mins prior reservation time and got drinks at bar and were seated as soon as our drinks were done. The host station staff were friendly and prompt, the bartender was phenomenal and made great suggestions. At the table, we had a trainee server and she was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The trainer on the other hand was condescending to the guests and to the trainee. He dressed her down in front of us for things that didn’t matter like man-splaining that the guests who would be sharing the tomahawk would not need to keep the plates saying “she needed to take them as they would obviously get new plates and everyone else would obviously get their food on their own plates” and “walk faster” when she had barely had two seconds to move. The main server asked at beginning of service asked if had been there before and we said no and the asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We all said still, assuming we were getting tap water. He did not explain that we were paying $7 per bottle of water. We didn’t even realize it was not tap water until they had refilled our glasses enough times that he then said “okay folks, you still have some water left in your latest bottle here but let me know if you would like me to crack you open another bottle, to which we said no thank you.
As for the food, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly and had good flavor, absolutely no complaints, asparagus, fingerling potatoes, crawfish Mac n cheese and all other sides were great. The burgers ordered were good too. The lobster ravioli was well prepared and sauce was delicious. The tomahawk when advertised as 36 oz is misleading, especially when the server says it would easily be shared among 3-4 adults. This is inaccurate as that 36oz must be while still on bone as they cut it from the bone and was served up which equated to maybe 3 oz per person for 3 people. It also was not all medium rare as ordered. Overall not worth the almost $600 bill.
