Gajyumaru is known for offering authentic Japanese cuisine and a sushi bar that features both raw and cooked fish. The eatery is jade colored and offers elegant surroundings to diners. The sushi includes a list of seafood that includes traditional ones such as sea urchin, horse mackerel, shellfish and other essentials which are served with wasabi. Gajyumaru's Kitsune udon is a house favorite and boasts a salty broth that is topped with noodles and slices of tofu that are made fresh each day. One of the popular starters on the menu is a serving of snapper head which is succulent and juicy down to the bones.
Gajyumaru's main dishes are refined such as the sablefish which is marinated in sake and a sweet miso broth. The dish pairs well with the bittersweet seaweed that is served on the side. This restaurant has closed down.
