Here you will proudly find the trinity of Boxty- Boiled, Baked and Pan, as well as our own unique version of the French Fries – The Boxty Fries, made from Boxty Pancakes. In the 1980’s, Pádraic Óg was the first to Flip & Fill a Pan Boxty and create this restaurant - The now famous Gallagher’s Boxty House, placing Boxty centre stage to showcase the best of Irish produce and renowned Irish hospitality in an ambiance reminiscent of an old Irish kitchen. This in-house experience will take you back in history of Irish cuisine, thru the eyes of The Boxty House, small family ran restaurant in Temple Bar, most iconic area in the heart of Dublin. Our experienced award winning waiter Mike, who've been with us 20+ years will teach you everything about the potato and its importance in Irish history. It was really yummy! I have never had a boxty before, and I wanted to get a sample of several, so I got the Gallagher's Platter. My favorite was the sweet chili & honey boxty dumplings.

Excellent dinner with fantastic service. The shepherds pie is brilliant and the Irish coffee is the best we've ever had.

An amazing dinner in Dublin. The Gaelic boxty and salmon were table favorites. The specialty drinks were so good. I highly recommended going here.

Great local food experience. Enjoyed boxtys for my first time. Good selection of local libations. Did not feel too touristry but you are in close quarters. Make a reservation.

The Christmas Experience in Gallagher's Boxty House was amazing. I was greeted by amazing staff and than seated to my table. I was given a glass of Processco and proceeded to order dinner. There was one staff who was outgoing and made people feel happy. Wonderful drinks and food and the attention to detail on the food items was amazing. Happy Christmas to Boxty House and Happy New Year. Will be back next year.
