We are proud to share our journey which is Garbatella Osteria Bar. As the first US-based concept from husband-wife duo Saul Plata and his wife Carelma Rodriguez, as well as his partner Antonio and Diana, Garbatella Osteria in Otay Ranch, is the coming together of cultures, of travels, and of a lifetime of experiences. The Italian menu is crafted to reflect the authentic Italian flavors of Antonio’s childhood with recipes he has loved and cooked for decades.

Surprised when we showed up and saw they had a live band playing. Awesome surprise, wish they would’ve stayed longer.

It was a crowded day, tables were too close to each other and we noticed the back of the place was closed. It was too loud. I could barely hear my friend two chairs away. Our waitress was nice, but it took us a while to find her because she was so busy. What was impressive was that even with so much people dining, our food came out super fast. Everything was delicious. It was not my first time there, and I will definitely go back, maybe after the merry season.

Live music was not was advertised, didn't have my wife's cocktail choice, bread is not free, ordered pasta choice weren't offered cheese, pepper flakes no salt and pepper on table, hovered over me while I payed on her handheld machine, other than ALL that it was just average, I reckon we won't be back

My wife loves risotto and it is difficult to find a great restaurant that serves it but this restaurant has many choices on how to eat it. Phenomenal service and attention, great recommendations from the waiter as well. Always impressed with the food here!

What a great restaurant and a wonderful surprise! We went to see our friend Roman Palacios, who is an incredible performer, singer and all around lovely man! From the time we came in the door, the staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and did all they could to make sure that we had a comfortable table close to the live entertainment. The food was delicious and the service was very prompt. I highly recommend it.

We dined for our mother’s birthday celebration. The short rib was very tender and good. The server kept trying to take the plates away even though we told him many times that we were still working on them and we felt rushed.

They could not find my reservation initially. Then they forgot to send out our appetizers. Lastly, they charged us for a glass of wine we did not order.

Really disappointed with our experience. Went as a family of five for a special occasion. The food was substandard. We actually sent some food back. Bill was $200 for essentially pizza and ok pasta.

Love the vibe, love the decore of the place. Food was reasonable price, small portions but tasty.Service was lacking attention. Waiter might’ve been just too busy.
