The Gaslight Brasserie is the perfect dining venue, located at the Hardiman Hotel overlooking Eyre Square.
Breakfast is served daily from 07.00am. With excellent Dinner Menus from 18.00.

Our head chef is Dominique Majecki, originally from France, Dominique has previously worked in The G Hotel, The Lodge at Ashford and Glenlo Abbey.

As you enter our Gaslight Brasserie, you are greeted with warm white walls and mirrors - enriched with burgundies and teals. This is a luxurious relaxed Dining space.

Our Gaslight Evening menu is served from 6.00pm till 9.30pm daily

Every second Friday, commencing on the 13th of September, we now offer an exciting dining experience in our Gaslight Brasserie. Our team of chef’s will create a new menu every second week with a selection of dishes chosen and served to you by the chefs themselves. Enjoy a varied selection of delicious dishes through multiple courses, crafted with seasonality to the fore and using and using the freshest quality ingredients. Allow our chefs to introduce each dish to you in person tableside, you will be sure to love each dish. (no vegetarian or vegan options available for Chef's menu Fridays)
Santa Lunch Experience

Parents along with the little ones are invited to join us at The Hardiman from 1pm to 4pm for our Santa Lunch experience with Santa ready to visit The Hardiman, our Santa lunch experience is subject to availability, places are limited so book early! Enjoy Lunch at The Hardiman, and then visit Santa in his grotto! Santa will be at The Hardiman during Saturday’s and Sunday’s in December, visit is available after lunch booking is made. Lunch available is a two course lunch menu for €39 or 3 course for €48, children 12 & under are €18 each. Dates available: Saturday 30th November & Sunday 1st December Saturday 7th December and Sunday 8th December Saturday 14th December and Sunday 15th December Saturday 21st December and Sunday 22nd December

Thanksgiving dinner at The Hardiman Galway offers a refined and elegant celebration blending Irish hospitality with American tradition. Set in the historic grandeur of this 1852 Victorian hotel, the ambiance exudes warmth and sophistication. For dinner, enjoy a delicious spread that merges traditional Thanksgiving flavours with local Irish ingredients. The centrepiece is a succulent roasted turkey and ham, served with herb-infused stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy. To finish, desserts will be a traditional American pumpkin pie with fresh cream. Throughout the meal, the impeccable service ensures every detail is attended to, creating a memorable, luxurious Thanksgiving experience in the heart of Galway.

Not as good as we expected. Service was amateurish. Wrong starter offered. Long wait for non-existent beer (no - they don’t serve Hophouse 13). Garlic butter brought when most of the steak had been eaten. And the food was warm, not hot. Disappointed.

Super restaurant but the problem is in the plates It’s really good but please for the price you can put a little bit more For exemple the duck is for me the best plate to take The lamb on the contrary for the price you have nothing in the plate ! The welcome and the waitress are really kind ! Then I recommend the restaurant but not for all the plates a la carte

Delicious food. Great, friendly service. Our waitress was very good. Kevin was particularly good and a young male waiter who is a student was very good.

Food was great, but the service was abysmal. Only three tables dining with five staff serving. Could not get a drink or any other request for 20-30 minutes as they kept forgetting. They were all running around like chickens with their heads cut off, but no table could get service. It is almost like they had all started five minutes before we arrived. Worst service ever.

Dear Ken Thank you for your recent visit to Gaslight and for your feedback, I do appreciate it. I am sorry that it was a poor experience for you and I understand your frustration given the experience you describe. It is inexcusable, our service should clearly have been better. There had been some newer members of the team on duty that night, who should have had more support from their experienced colleagues. I recognise that we must work harder on the support provided to our colleagues in Gaslight and we will work on our service delivery. Again, my sincere apologies. For such a posh hotel the food quality was only acceptable. My lamb tenderloin dish contained two thimble size pieces of meat - nicely prepared but not outstanding- and very poor value for what was cocktail party size. We waited 30 minutes for food to be served after ordering. The panna cotta starter was grainy and not appealing.

The staff was warm and attentive. The food was interesting and delicious. The chef created fascinating combinations that worked really well. Overall a great dining experience.

Interesting menu, beautifully cooked and presented. Service excellent. Only downside was large noisy tour group. Didn’t stay for dessert because of this, but have no doubt would have been very good.

We made the reservation for Gaslight but were seated in the Oyster Bar which was pretty but not what we expected. Service was very slow and food was mediocre at best. Save yourself the time and find somewhere else!
