Join us for a unique dining experience that is unmatched in the Napa Valley. Set on the historic campus of The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Greystone, Gatehouse Restaurant showcases the talents of CIA students who have completed two years of rigorous study, under the supervision of our world-class faculty. Enjoy a meal inspired by local produce from the college’s own farms and gardens, and other high-quality ingredients. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

We were recommended by Mauricio Gutierrez and what a treat we were in for! Connor, Michael, Matt and Amanda were AMAZING! The food was delicious and the attention to detail was outstanding! Each person was friendly, knowledgeable and gracious! Thank you so much!! This student-run establishment is a diamond of a find! We will be back!

Fifth time here. This was one of the best. When one dish was incorrectly prepared they immediately fixed it and brought an extra course as an apology. When it's firing on all cylinders, the resto is as good as the Michelin rated places in the valley. When it misses a beat, it's still a deal that can't be beat. An added plus is the charm and enthusiasm of the student servers. Gives you hope for the younger generation.

We LOVED our experience at the Gatehouse ….when we found out that it was only day 3 for the students serving this menu, we were floored!! The food and wine pairings weee phenomenal - we are repeat fans and our friends were first time visitors and LOVED the experience! Soooo good!!

Always great food and service love talking to the students regarding their journey into culinary arts chef restaurant management. They now include a 20% scholarship tip on the whole bill. I believe it should be the option to pay or not or tip less since it is for a scholarship fund and not for the servers.

Had the four-item chef's menu, along with the recommended wine pairings, and everything was excellent. the Duck Ragu was especially awesome.

My 2nd time here and it was better than the 1st! Our student waiter Mike is fantastic and genuine. Food theme matched better than previous theme.

We love supporting students. Dinner was exceptional in terms of quality and inventive menu options. Many dishes featured farm to table ingredients of highest quality. My Halibut Crudo was a work of art in presentation and was delicious. Risotto with preserved lemon had a delightfully brisk lemony tartness. Striped bass was great, and French apple tart with Frangipane was rich and luscious. I know their menu changes so options may be different. Truly the best dinner option in Napa valley that also supports the wonderful culinary students. Highly recommended! Our server, Logan was professional and a pleasure.
