We host a celebration of contemporary Argentine cuisine and the tradition, values, and culture of the Gaucho lifestyle. We take pride in providing our guests with an authentic experience in a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for social and business lunches, entertaining dinners, and fun celebrations. Established in 2016. Gaucho Grill USA began its operation in Hollywood, CA in the early 1990's. The earliest restaurants practiced traditional Argentine cuisine and have been quite successful as a result. The newest location in Downey, CA unveils a new, contemporary approach to fine Argentine steaks, cuisine, and libations. Gaucho Grill Argentine Steakhouse in Downey has a fully-operating bar and nightlife which perfectly complements the already fervent environment within its walls.

The New York steak although cooked medium was so tough you could hardly cut with a knife. It was replaced with a fillet the was tender but not that flavorful

One of three filet mignons was overcooked (medium well vice medium rare). Food is pricey but it does taste good but drinks were good and we enjoyed the ambiance.

I am very satisfied with the service that was provided. I made a reservation for a party of six people to celebrate my father's bday. From the moment they took us in and sat us down the experience was 5 out of 5. Our waiter was very attentive and gave us time to think while also get drinks and appetizers in. Rib eye well cooked to perfection along with short ribs a la carte. Gaucho grill made the birthday celebration happen, Thank You for making it happen!

They allow peddlers coming in selling candy and flowers while people are dining. We were told that security won’t do anything. The food was not what it used to be. It was mediocre at best. It lacked a lot of flavor and seasoning. Thank goodness the empanada we had was flavorful. We won’t likely return.

2nd time going to the Downey location for a Birthday celebration (group of 5). They were out of 3-4 things we ordered. Server thought it was funny they were out of items. Our alternative items were delicious, but some of the side dishes were cold. When I asked about celebrating the birthday, they said it was too late (closing time). Lastly, we waited quite a bit to get and pay our $500+ bill. We eventually walked up towards the bar to get someone’s attention to find the staff, including our server, eating at the bar. Finally someone (maybe the manager) asked ANOTHER server to help us out. We’ll go somewhere else next time.
