Gavroche Chippendale is your little corner of Paris in the heart of Sydney. It brings not only classic French cuisine to Sydney, but also an accoutrement from the culinary epicentre of the country – like an imposing oakwood entrance from Lyon’s venerable Brasserie Georges, brass-railed banquette seating, oversized carved wooden bar and hand-painted tiled walls for an authentic Parisian experience.

Taste your way through our classic Parisian menu by French-born Chef Batiste Gouraud and his team, from escargots de bourgogne, steak frites and canard confit to the classic crème brûlée. With an array of classic dishes that capture the Parisian spirit, and a wine list with a mix of hand-selected French and Australian wines, you’ve got the buzz of Paris in the heart of Sydney!

Located inside the heritage-listed historic Old Rum Store located on the bustling Kensington Street in Chippendale. In close proximity to Sydney's Central Station and University of Technology.

The chef on the night was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and me and my partner enjoyed each dish we had. The wait staff were very attentive, friendly and were such a delight. We will definitely be going back in the near future.

As someone who does not eat a lot of French cuisine, I found dinner tonight to be really marvellous and a stand out over the few restaurants I have dined in. Very nice!

Gorgeous location and excellent service. We’ve just been to Paris and the Crêpes Suzette at Gavroche was much better than what we had there. Lovely cocktails. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent meal at Gavroche- cocktails started the evening, and after choosing our meal (fois gras and scallops to start followed by steak frites and Rossini Tornedo) Matthieu our sommelier helped us choose a lovely bottle of Bordeaux red. The food and wine was excellent and the dessert (and dessert wine) was an excellent end to the meal, which we capped off with a glass of cognac. One of the highlights was the ambience and of the place and the very attentive service (so French). I would highly recommend Gavroche!!

The place and service is outstanding! People are friendly. The burlesque dance is amazing hence, would elevate your dining experience despite the food being so so.
