I took my partner to show the grandeur of Bastille Day. It was one of the worst dining experiences during the last few years. No French Music or French celebration decoration was in the place. They criticized us for choosing the recommended menu. Special set for French celebrations, even though it was $120 per person, they said it was an economy they put together and should not spect much or big serves. The 1st, -AMUSE BOUCHE Puff pastry, mushrooms & parsnip- one 3cm biscuit per person with nearly anything on top. The 2nd was -Oysters HUITRES FRAICHES fd CHAMPAGNE 3 Freshly shucked oysters served with Champagne gel. Add Oscietra caviar +$28 - just with one slice of lemon, and we needed to pay an additional $28 for caviar that was not even one teaspoon divided into three very average oysters. No Champagne. The third one -SAINT-JACQUES & CONSOMM E DE LANGOUSTINES Seared Hokkaido scallops, onions & scampi consomme instead of the traditional poultry broth -4 oysters 5Langoustines oyster mushrooms just 3 little scallops with a sprinkle of stock poured on top not even part of the same meal. Third TOURNEDOS ROSSINI O'Connor beef tenderloin, seared Foie Gras, potato galette & jus; another issue is they recommended medium rare, and we agree, but it has a burnt base with its traditional sour taste Definitely should be Tournedos Rossini is a French steak dish consisting of a beef tournedos, pan-fried in butter, served on a crouton, and topped with a hot slice of fresh whole foie gras briefly pan-fried at the last minute. The dish is garnished with slices of black truffle and finished with a Madeira demi-glace sauce. None on the serve dessert ECLAIR TRUFFE AU CHOCOLAT Chocolate & fresh truffle eclair served with truffle ice cream. We received a little water sorbet with an inferior piece of pastry with some chocolate melted. We would not recommend this restaurant at all, and we should receive the money back.
