Oxford’s iconic glasshouse and stunning terrace remains loyal to its traditions of providing quality food & service in the most beautiful restaurant in Oxford.

Free parking for two hours is available just a short walk away on Canterbury Road and Bevington Road.

Our kitchen features a wood fired oven & charcoal grill, ingredients are simply prepared and expertly cooked. Open every day from 09.00am until 10.30pm serving our all day menu, on Sunday we also offer a roast. Please feel welcome to just drop by for a glass or two in our new secret garden.

Expect a warm welcome and great food served by knowledgeable & friendly waiters.

A really delightful place to bring family or friends. Its special, but very relaxed. The ambience is wonderful, the food is delicious and interesting, and I love the service. Thankyou!

Easy to book, found parking as advised Thankyou. LOVED the venue and rustic charm in the pot filled entrance. Staff were unobtrusive and friendly. Starter was small and simple, main utterly delicious and cheese dessert perfect. The 13.5% service charge seemed high. Would love to visit again when the budget allows

We have been going to Gees for therty years or so,and it has always delivered with excellent tasty food,good service and a lovely ambience.Last night,although they were very busy the staff were really helpful and gave us time to have a great experience.

お店の雰囲気は、素晴らしく、ウエイターの対応もとても丁寧なものでした。前菜のコロッケもチーズの風味が美味しく、パスタもデリシャスで、満足しました。メインのステーキは見た目も素晴らしく、サラダは新鮮で、ステーキソースも抜群でした。

The food was good, particularly the cauliflower soup, other dishes were on the light side e.g. small plate of linguine with very small and few scallops. The bill has a way of mounting up so that despite express lunches (2 courses on average) and no alcohol, the bill came to £158 for 4. the service charge at 13.5% obviously contributes to that. I prefer staff to be suitably remunerated and rewarded by genuinely discretionary gratuities when they go above and beyond.

We used to come to Gees as a special family treat which we used to enjoy but last night the experience and the food was poor. We ordered duck rigatoni which looked like my memory of a bad school dinner - not only was the presentation and flavour poor but the consistency was a sludge that could have been horsemeat. The harissa squash tasted slightly stale - as if it had been left out too long. The service was inattentive and the evening disappointing. We will not return

First time at Gees and I will definitely be back!! I had the mushroom risotto, the flavour and texture was elite!! The addition of the chestnuts on top added a subtle sweetness to a rich and truffly rice dish…sensational!! The staff were wonderful and excellent in their suggestions and advice.
