Specializing in modern comfort food, Gertie’s in New York provides a vintage country atmosphere that gives patrons a relaxing chance at a fresh breath of air away from the city noise. Overall I would have to say that dining this time at Gerties was disappointing. Service was very good but I could not say it was outstanding because the waitress did not tell me that the entree I ordered would be so spicy hot that it would destroy all flavor of the meal I ordered. Because I could not find anything else on the menu that I liked, I ordered cajun chicken which turned out to be 2 very small open tacos for $28. I ate one despite it being the spiciest cajun seasoning I ever experienced, and took one home so that I could wipe off the seasoning on the chicken first before consuming. My spouse and another dining companion ordered a pasta dish that was to have a tomato cream sauce with scallops. She later complained to me that the sauce was more like a tomato sauce than tomato cream sauce and that her meal was nothing special. Another dining companion ordered scallops in a mushroom sauce. I noticed he searched out the scallops and left a majority of his entree uneaten. We have dined here before and returned because we had a good experience. This time it was not favorably memorable.

Limited time menu that we took advantage of with the easy process of getting a reservation via OpenTable. The Octoberfest menu selections were tremendous and everything we ordered was super! I will be there for next year's event.

They make you feel like family. The food is excellent quality and fresh. The service is cheerful and efficient. The remodel is beautiful!

First time to Gerties and it was fabulous. Service was great - the owner came over to greet us and see if everything was to our liking. Exceptional food and wonderful in house desserts. Can't wait to go back. I live in the city and would definitely drive out to Clarence for Gerties.

The chance to eat outside in Buffalo cannot be missed! Gertie's has a great patio, wonderful food and attentive servers. Brunch menu is inventive and well executed.

Picked Gertie's as a meeting place between Rochester area and Chautauqua County. Been there twice and enjoy the ambiance and the food. Nice variety on the menu. Was a little disappointed in the fact that the waitress would not give us four separate checks -- instead she gave us a check with the total divided by 4 which was not a fair distribution. Don't understand why, when everything else about Gertie's is so delightful, she wouldn't make that little bit of extra effort.

It was our first time and we loved everything. Well be back next time were in town, our cousin lives here and said she told everyone at the office about you place. What a great little spot.
