We traveled from Northville to try this place out. While it appeared to be a very nice place and the aroma inside from the cooking food was amazing, in general, there were several misses in our opinion:
1) It's okay that refills of salsa and chips are charged after the first round, but honestly, when you buy an $11 queso appetizer, extra chips should be included as part of the appetizer.
2) In general, there was a lack of seasoning with the dishes provided, with the exception of the salsa verde provided with the chips. We ordered the aforementioned queso blanco, and tacos of shirmp, al pastor, carne asada, and gringo variety, and in general, the the cheese and meat on all the tacos was lightly, if at all seasoned - a disappointment as the menu discusses spicy flavors with these dishes.
3) The amount of taco filling for the al pastor and shrimp tacos was great. The amount of filling on the carne asada tacos was meager, to say the least. I could count how many individual steak cubes there were on each taco, which was presented on two 4" corn tortillas. And it was a total that I could count with ten fingers. It was not befitting of the other tacos, nor of the menu item price tag.
4) The service was slow. Getting tacos for four people took almost an hour. We had a professional, apologetic waitress, and I suspect this had to do with what was going on in the kitchen.
In all, we as a group agreed that the al pastor tacos were the best - the pineapple really added some flavor to them that was really nice. But we also agreed that for the $100 price tag for a family of four, we won't be in a hurry to go back. There are other places to go for better options.
