I hadn't been to Gibbys in a long time and will not go back for a while. The salads that are included when you order a main course were served so cold! They are obviously all stacked in a fridge and served quickly. The bol was freezing... very disapointing... We ordered the «cowboy steak» for 2 people... it was chewy and not memorable, for 160$, I would like to be impressed. This restaurant might impress tourists, but as Montrealers, with such a wide array of amazing restaurants to choose from, we will bring our business elsewhere.

Cela fait depuis 2021 que je vais au Gibby’s et je trouvais que tout était parfait. Cela fait deux fois maintenant que j’y vais et que je suis un peu déçu. La présentation des assiettes laissait un peu à désirer et quelques steaks n’étaient pas assez cuits mais, pour le restant, c’était très bien.

Horrible experience ! Waited 30 minutes to get water and bread. Had to change tables as we were seated next to dish area where it was constant clanking of plates. Once we moved tables and were assigned new wait staff it was already so late we did not enjoy any of the food we ordered. Never again !!!

It took someone from Houston to bring me back to this Gem after so long. I would rate this as the best steakhouse in the city for great food, service, ambience and more. The staff is second to none and the friendly waitress was in a league of her own in ensuring us that everything goes smoothly. The steaks were from another planet - Simply Perfect. What a treat!

Our experience was very good. The space is very historic, comfortable, decorated well and staff is attentive and helpful. The food is very good . The beef Wellington was perfect and the onion soup outstanding. Loved Gibby’s Salad. My only critique is that the stuffed potatoes were too dry.

You have to eat here, at least once in your life! It’s a staple of our city. Our server was amazing! Attentive and friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Very happy with the experience.
