I’m so excited to announce the second restaurant in partnership with hotel giant Melia, is Gino D’Acampo Quayside.

It’s a beautiful light, open plan restaurant with floor to ceiling windows that lets the natural light flood it – it’s a real mood booster. That’s not all, we also have a huge contemporary terrace overlooking the iconic River Tyne, I can’t wait for you to see it.

Serving real Italian food as it should be, the menu really does have something for everyone. Check out my new lounge bar as well, it serves one of the biggest selections of Prosecco, sparkling wine and Franciacorta in the UK, with over 30 varieties for you to choose from. Pop by for a drink after work or enjoy one or two while you dine, the choice is yours.

The setting was lovely, the food was fair but over priced but the service was very curt and unfriendly. Given the amount of money we spent it was a shame to come away feeling that the service was so unacceptable.

Used to love this place but now I feel it's come a little bit downhill and far too overpriced. £10 for deserts is a joke. £25 for a bit of chicken with no sides is also silly. The starter bread board was misrepresented stating tomato and olives (apparently it was in the bread). It was usually difficult to get a booking here on Sundays, but now it's dead. So sad.

Nice food and drinks, but we had quite slow service and it is a noisy atmosphere, so not a place to choose if you prefer quiet conversation.

Thank you so much for our stay with you, we had an amazing time. Andrea’s birthday was made so much more special with the upgrade to our room and the amazing dining experience we had on her birthday. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere in the restaurant was amazing.

Went for lunch with my two daughters because of the gluten free menu. 3 starters 3 pasta dishes with a couple of sides. 2 soft drinks one cocktails £166.00 Food was nice but not worth the price tag.

First time at Ginos and overall a lovely meal. Service was spot on, food was delicious, it was very noisy that was the only downside.

We had a lovely evening with delicious food. The staff were very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our food after being seated. If I have one complaint it is very noisy there & we found it difficult to have a conversation across the table but it was a Saturday night with lots of birthday parties going on. This doesn’t put me off returning
