    The Afternoon Tea Ritual is a quintessential St. Regis tradition and an important part of our culture. The story of afternoon tea date back to Anna, Duchess of Bedford who is considered to have invented the ceremony of the afternoon tea party. Mrs. Caroline Astor adopted the tradition stateside, offering an occasion to gather her closest intimates as a prelude to formal social events. This ceremony was then continued by her son, John Jacob Astor IV, at the St. Regis New York, and ultimately around the world as a signature ritual in all of our hotels.. Our exquisite afternoon tea ritual offer is presented in Oriente Italiano™ c/o Ginori 1735. La Via del Tè is particularly sensitive to environmental and ethical issues.

                                  A gastronomic experience like no other. Incredible attention to detail from the amuse bouche to the complimentary sweeties with coffee, everything was perfect.

                                  l made a reservation on the 24/12/2024 (Confirmation # 48085) as a Christmas present for my sister and my brother in law. l booked through your website with my American Express card and sent an email to Gio's to know if l could pay with my AE card. The answer was : SR, Venice Italy Gios Restaurant ​ SR, Venice Italy Gios Restaurant; ​Pagnotta, Enrico; ​Piemontese, Domenico ​ Dear Simian I have duly noted of your reservation. In addition, they will pay on site with the card unless you specifically want to pay with your card. In that case , I will send the sertify link for your purpose. Warm regards from the magical city of Venice! Enrico Pagnotta Restaurant Manager _______________________________ Yesterday evening my folks went to you place and had a wonderful time and food but ....... My American Express payment at the end was actually not accepted at all so my sister had to pay with her own card. The Christmas present has been spoiled as they were sont supposed to know the price and pay the bill. How come such a beautiful and exclusive restaurant like yours down from a 5 stars Inn Palace do not accept all kind of payments espacially when the deal and the payment being accepted 2 months ago ? My card was registered on your website for the reservation and that didn't cause any problem...... Would it have been me yesterday we'd have been arguing for hours as l have no other way of payment. Not a good review for such a beautiful place.

                                  The waitstaff was very attentive and the food was delicious. We did the Gios Experience 7 course Tasting menu and everything was to die for. Highly recommend trying for a special night out.

                                  Good drinks, good food but over valued for what you get. The reason to go is for the view during the experience and to say you were at the st. Regis.

                                  We had a lovely meal for my husband’s 50th birthday. The only thing that I didn’t like was being told that we had to eat 3 full courses. This isn’t mentioned online when you view the menus prior to booking. I didn’t want to eat a 2nd pasta course but ended up ordering it out of necessity. I understand the restaurant wants to ensure a minimum spend per table but we had an expensive bottle of wine which would have more than made up for our just wanting to have two courses.

                                  We came here on a previous trip for afternoon tea and loved it so much we came back again that same trip, the tiramisu in particular was the best we had ever had. Unfortunately, this trip the food was so much less exciting that I would bet money they have a new chef, there’s just no way the same chef made the previous meals and this one (granted this trip was a couple years later than the previously mentioned one). The tiramisu had also changed, and was more traditional (the previous was a brilliant adaptation where their take on the lady finger was served on the side so it kept that part crunchy while the custard was served in a delicious bowl. Hopefully they bring back some of the previous items :)

                                  Wenn man einen unvergesslichen Abend verbringen möchte mit viel Geschmacksexplosionen, dann ist man hier genau richtig. In einem wunderschönen Ambiente mit einem hervorragenden Service wurden wir verwöhnt. Die Auswahl der Sommelier war ausgezeichnet. Das Essen war nicht nur fürs Auge der Wahnsinn, die Kombinationen und das Zusammenspiel von süß und herzhaft war sehr spannend. Auf jeden Fall werden wir dort wieder essen. Nächstes Mal hoffen wir uns im Sommer auf der Terrasse verwöhnen zu lassen.
