    The Afternoon Tea Ritual is a quintessential St. Regis tradition and an important part of our culture. The story of afternoon tea date back to Anna, Duchess of Bedford who is considered to have invented the ceremony of the afternoon tea party. Mrs. Caroline Astor adopted the tradition stateside, offering an occasion to gather her closest intimates as a prelude to formal social events. This ceremony was then continued by her son, John Jacob Astor IV, at the St. Regis New York, and ultimately around the world as a signature ritual in all of our hotels.. Our exquisite afternoon tea ritual offer is presented in Oriente Italiano™ c/o Ginori 1735. La Via del Tè is particularly sensitive to environmental and ethical issues.

                                            The restaurant is a minimal one in a great location! We stayed inside due to the weather and the atmosphere was amazing ! The personnel was so kind and the food was delicious ! Our sommelier has chosen for us so tasty glass of wines ! It was a great experience and highly recommended !

                                            Beautiful venue with lovely views. Had the tasting menu, 4/5 of the dishes were outstanding. The penultimate dish which was a Terrine was a let down and ordinary, however the starter was truly exceptional. I did the 5 glass wine pairing, was told at the beginning it would be “normal 15cl measures”, however that was not the case, none of the wines were more than 10cl so I did feel a bit cheated as I would have bought a bottle of wine instead had I known.

                                            We dined at Gio's for lunch prior to visiting Murano and Burano on 11/3/25. The ambiance was great. We sat outside right along the canal. The food was outstanding. Unfortunately, the service was awful. The staff was aloof, inattentive and condescending. Without a doubt the worst service we had for any meal during our 10 days in Italy. We expected much more from a dining experience at the St. Regis. Not on our list of restaurants we'd return to in the future.
