Our waiter was great. The wines were superb. The fois gras appetizer was very disappointing: small pieces the size of our thumb nail that were overcooked with burnt edges. Even the bread had burnt edges. The main courses of sea bass and filet mignon were excellent. Despite the waiter's recommendation for the tiramisu, it was flavourless with a whipped cream texture and flavour instead of marscapone cheese, lacking coffee flavour, overall extremely disappointing. The creme brulé was excellent. All items on the menu are expensive.

Honestly, the last of its breed after Hys Ottawa shut down. You truly feel the quality of service and class they are providing right from the minute you pull up with your vehicle. Hubby and I have been going to Giovanni’s now for years now and it hasn’t changed as far as luxury goes! Without fail, 5 stars every time! Maria
