Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to have joined LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of innovative cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, travelers and adventurers!

    Wanted to really love it. The food was good. Not great, compelling, or return visit worthy. We had the prixe fix menu, so it's a good cross section of the full menu. The price is what brings down all of the ratings. It's not worth the $140pp all in.

    Probably my favorite restaurant when I come to LA. The staff are as great as the food. The room is beautiful and I've never had a bad meal there.

    We sat outside so it was quiet and very pleasant. Menu doesn’t read as well as it tastes. We really enjoyed everything, potato crepe was favorite!

    Great food and ambience, I highly recommend! Only issue is they no longer have valet so parking was a little bit challenging.

    Great ambience , service, and space. Overall the food quality was very high but we found the the dishes to be very salty and over spiced. Less spices so you can actually taste the main entree - just too many components in the dishes IMO.

    Innovative and very yummy food. Outside seating was cold in November, even with space heaters. I'd go back though, even if outside.

    Very fun and delicious. We went for our anniversary, my wife loved the ambiance, service was prompt and kind. We got grilled oysters (delicious, not as good as NOLA obviously), hamachi poke (good, interesting goat milk), olive focaccia (what you expect), chickpea fritters with fried paneer (very delicious, surprise hit), roasted beet (delicious), bbq pork belly (yummy yummy but also very rich), and the beef short rib noodles (very tummy, beef had a great texture similar to lechon). Check them out!
