Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to have joined LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of innovative cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, travelers and adventurers!

    GnG is always one of our favorites. It’s the 3rd time we have come here. OMG the Xmas deco is gorgeous, the food was amazing as usual. We had the sichuan bass and crab butter pork belly. Both so tender and melted in our mouth! Service was excellent.

    That was the best meal I’ve ever experienced. Every dish had layers of flavors that were so delightful. I don’t have a refined palate to know where all of the flavors were coming from, but each bite was savored and appreciated. We ordered the naan, green beans, beets, chick peas fritters, poke, bass, short ribs noodles, pork belly, sesame cookie ice cream and the sundae. For drinks we had the goat fashioned, espresso martini, spa day, bees knees, and some Cadillac’s. There were four of us and there wasn’t a morsel left on any plate. The service was very friendly, attentive, comfortable and informative. The ONLY thing I would do different is make sure to get the naan first to scrape up every last bit of every sauce. If I could’ve gotten away with it I would have licked each plate clean ;) I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a very long time and tonight did not disappoint. I loved watching Chef Stephanie on Top Chef but have never had the chance to taste her food. And until tonight I’d never realized how truly elevated and special her dishes are. Thank you so much for an absolutely beautiful meal 💛

    Had a great meal at the bar. Only issue was that we finished almost everything we ordered and my Goat Belly dish still had not arrived. It had to be at least 40 minutes or so after we ordered it. My wife and I had drink reservations down the street, so unfortunately asked them to just pack it to-go and couldn't enjoy it will the rest of my meal. Other than that, the service, food & ambiance was great!

    Wanted to really love it. The food was good. Not great, compelling, or return visit worthy. We had the prixe fix menu, so it's a good cross section of the full menu. The price is what brings down all of the ratings. It's not worth the $140pp all in.

    Probably my favorite restaurant when I come to LA. The staff are as great as the food. The room is beautiful and I've never had a bad meal there.

    We sat outside so it was quiet and very pleasant. Menu doesn’t read as well as it tastes. We really enjoyed everything, potato crepe was favorite!
