Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to have joined LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of innovative cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, travelers and adventurers!

    We were familiar with the chef, because we are foodies. This evening and our dinner was beyond and we would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone. Go out of your comfort, geographic zone and head down to the Girl in the Goat. You will be happy for the experience.

    Fourth time dining here, each time wanting to give it another chance. Food is very oil heavy & overpowering. The bass was very skimpy and smothered in clashing oils and fried ingredients. Staff is very friendly. Monte Rio Sangiovese was very nice. The wine was the best part of the meal and one of the few fresh & clean items on the menu.

    Had a great brunch with an old friend and we loved how hearty and flavorful the dishes were. The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was comforting. Thank you.

    Dined at Bevel which is across the street from girl and the goat couple days prior. Cannot compare the two. Everything about girl and goat is way better than Bevel. Great food/ ambience/ value. If you are debating which one to pick the choice is easy.

    Excellent food and customer service. My only feedback is when the waiters bring the food to the table when they explain the dish, voices should be louder as when the room gets busier, your customers can barely hear the explanation
