    Lovely food and great atmosphere. Staff were attentive and friendly. We ate in the bar and it was so warm and cosy! We had a meal and drink from the lunch menu for £12. Great value too!

    Very disappointing Wanted 5pm and could only get 4.30. And when arrived only 1 table in restaurant Food not up to standard Sons mixed grill disgusting one very small piece of steak One very small piece of gammon and a sausage for £19 Not happy. Although they wouldn’t complain

    Had the Sunday lunch loved the choice of vegetables with the lunch asked for extra gravy which came to the table straight away The staff were attentive polite and professional Would highly recommend will definitely be back value for money

    We were accommodated at short notice, had a lovely Sunday roast (for which having a vegan option was essential), speedy service. Exactly what we wanted.

    One of our party had the Sunday roast beef which was a little disappointing as it was 'stringy'. However, the rest of the meals were tasty and cooked well. Service was good - staff very pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. Not too much noise but enough to be able to talk normally and not feel you were being listened to.

    Lovey atmospheric pub with nice friendly helpful staff. The soup was not quite as hot as one of us wanted but it was soon rectified and in fact was delicious. Will be returning again soon.

    This is the 4th time we have eaten here but the first time on a Sunday for lunch, definitely not disappointed. As always the food was excellent as was the service. It was very busy when we arrived but drinks order taken as soon as we sat down and services was prompt as always. Definitely recommend the food and service here any day of the week even on a busy Sunday.

    As always team very friendly helpful and pleasant, lovely atmosphere food always lovely, service is quick but not rushed, staff attentive, a very much go to after a long week or a relaxed evening meal never disappoints
