Heritage pub turned Greek Islands-inspired paradise, Golden Fleece Hotel has brought Santorini to South Melbourne.

Entering off Montague Street, you’ll find curvaceous, stone-look tables, booths and an adjoining bottle shop where the walls are lined with vino you can take away! Make your way up the colourful mosaic-tiled stairwell you'll find a place to enjoy more cocktails after dining down stairs and nooks to sit back and relax, as well as a pool table and our DJ's on the weekend to keep the party forever going.

Our Santorini Rooftop is where you’ll feel most transported, as the sun beams down, sip on a fun Aperol Spritz, or a Passionfruit Martini to feel the holiday vibes.

The menu is similarly Mediterranean. Among the highlights: Our famous fluffy oven baked bread accompanied by a selection of dips, and a delicious Yia-Yia's style Moussaka. Partner any dish with a wide selections of wines from our bottle shop or our famous Santorini Sour!

Greek Dancers, Live music, Yiayia’s making Dolmades on arrival with a complimentary Voir drink to ease into the evening Greek spirit. 🇬🇷 When the napkin twirling begins, you will feel the eclectic island energies of Paros! This event guests will dine downstairs, then dessert & dance upstairs as the entertainment starts to fire up! Guests can expect the following; First Dining session - 6:30pm Second Dining session - 8:30pm *LUXE DINING - 2ppl to share - $129 pp* Starter: Dolmades, Ceviche Bites, Phyllo Wrapped Feta Bites Entree: Calamari, Octopodi Second: Oysters, Caviar, Champagne Main course: Lamb Skewer, Chicken Skewer, Horiatiki, Chips, Pita, Tzatziki Dinner Entertainment downstairs from 6:30pm - Rooftop DJ - Bouzouki Player Featured Entertainment Upstairs from 8pm: - Live Greek Band - Greek Dancers - Flower Petals & Smashing Plates (included in ticket) - Surprise dessert offerings (not included in ticket) - Market stalls & Yiayia’s making Dolmades For our early dining 90 minute sessions, guests will be asked to head upstairs afterwards to enjoy drinks upstairs on our Rooftop.     The interior design is amazing! And the rooftop bar is an oasis in the middle of Melbourne. Definitely worth a visit for the cocktails and atmosphere

    Love love love the decor and the food was amazing next level. Especially the chicken Souvalaki. Wasn’t a fan of the tzatziki it seemed to have too much lemon and dill in it. Didn’t taste that traditional to me. The wait staff are next level. So attentive and very good at their jobs. We never had to ask for drinks they always approached us. The food came out quickly even though the restaurant was full. The rooftop bar however was another thing. To say I was a little disappointed is an understatement. This is purely for the young ones. The music was ridiculously loud for 7:30 at night. You could hear yourself think. The bar tenders were too worries about looking cool to actually provide you with a decent service or to make your drinks properly and for me the lack of eye contact was poor unless your a young good looking lady. The actually roof top is tiny and the photos on line are very deceiving.

    Our experience from the time we walked in was amazing. My only critic would be when you order from the Big plates menu and they title a pot of muscles and you only get 11 muscles for $38 is so wrong. I couldn’t wait to get out after that. Went somewhere else for dessert as I was a bit disappointed with that last bit of our experience. Overall for a pub experience.

    Food wasn’t bad but service wasn’t great. Took a while for us to get seated and our orders to be taken and when we received our entrees. It was a bit gap between entrees and our main so we were full by the time the mains got to us. Don't get me Started that our drink got given to someone else while we waited for a fair bit. Normally don’t make a fuss over anything like this but it was my partners birthday and I felt bad. Spent almost $300 as well and quality of service doesn’t match up

    Staff was so friendly and brought the vibe, food was also amazing so delicious, definitely coming back here again 100% recommend of dinner or chill drinks love love love 🙌❤️
