Approachable sophisticated Pacific Northwest cuisine, simply prepared using the finest regional ingredients and served in a dining room with maritime-inspired design and sweeping views of Elliott Bay.

Goldfinch Tavern is a collaboration between Ethan Stowell and Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Named for the state bird of Washington, the American Goldfinch.

The upscale tavern pays homage to the city’s pioneer days, when taverns catered to lumberjacks and sailors alike, providing a place for travelers and locals to both socialize and conduct business, all while enjoying drinks and food.

For your main, choose from Seared Tuna, Chilean Sea Bass, Roasted Tom Turkey, Salt-Crusted New York Strip, or Delicata Squash Risotto.     Great Xmas lunch in our Jammie’s amazing coffee as usual and buffet was 13/10 says my husband! Wait staff did a great job for how busy it was loved it would do again! (Xmas lunch)

    A must stop on every visit to Seattle. Great food, hospitality and ambiance along with views if you sit near the window. Best breakfast in the City. Will need to try lunch or dinner on my next visit

    Our server John was very attentive and did an overall great job. Unfortunately the food was not so great, the fish was a little undercooked and tasteless, the tenderloin was requested to be cooked medium, it was served rare.

    Thank you for making this a perfect dinner date for Christmas Eve! Every bit of the staff was very attentive. It didn’t matter how many people there were they all act as our waiters which was amazing. It was as if they were all secretly communicating to each other what we already had and what we still needed . The best Christmas dinner ever ! ~I just can’t tell any of my family members that~

    The service was TERRIBLE. We waited for water, orders to be taken and the food. The order came out in fits and starts. The appetizer came out after our main course. The food was delicious (although not particularly hot). The restaurant was not crowded so that was not the reason for the poor service. All in all we were there 2 hours—-most of it waiting…and entertaining 2 children while we waited.

    Goldfinch isn't what it once was. The limited menu is ok, some listed wines are unavailable, not up to their standard, and the staff only gets 65% of the included 20% tip. I think they have and can do much better.

    I give Goldfinch a 4 rather than 5, not because anything is amiss with food or service, but because--given its location in a Four Seasons hotel, the menus should be more exciting. It's hard to think what particular plate served there is so unique or compelling that I have to return to Goldfinch again and again. With its ambiance, attention to quality and service, I, for one, can't help but feel it should be a far more exciting destination. It is good, very good; just not distinctive.

    The food was good and atmosphere great. Service was slow; bartender was busy and should have had help. Server would not give us separate checks for an almost$300 check. Said she could not do it. Either lazy or not too bright.

    We had an excellent anniversary dinner last night. It just happened that the two tables next to us were also celebrating their anniversary. We got a bottle of complimentary champagne to share which was super generous and considerate. The food was excellent and our waiter Tom was superb! It was a bit noisy as the restaurant was busy due to the holiday season, otherwise it was a perfect evening!! Thank you!
