In Georgetown, Texas, we have plenty of customs that we hold close to our hearts. One of those is our food: we like our chicken fried, our tea sweet, and our salad potato, all served with warm smiles and a hearty helping of “y’all.” Like our beautiful town square and sunny, kindhearted residents, it all comes with the territory in the Red Poppy Capital of Texas.     Took my mom for a birthday lunch and to walk around the square. The New York strip chicken fried steak was amazing! My mom said her burger was one of the best burgers she has had. The inside of the restaurant was very nice. Definitely will come back!

    Comfortable atmosphere with no wait time during the week day. Salads were filling yet so airy to eat. Will be coming back next time visiting Gtown!

    We were seated against the back wall. The A/C blew down on us, seems like at full blast. Not sure why they couldn’t have adjusted the vents to blow out. Chicken salad sandwich was good, fresh. My friend had fried chicken, said it was okay. The server, Hannah was attentive, kind and fulfilled our expectations. We will go back…

    The food is amazing! (the iced tea is extra good) The service is also amazing! It was difficult to hear my friend across the table though, because there don’t appear to be any sound absorbing surfaces—everything is hard and/or shiny. But we enjoyed our food immensely and actually texted and sent links to each other across our 18” distance instead of chatting. 🤭

    Food was fabulous. Only complaint was it was a little noisy because the Christmas festival was going on in the town square.
