Located at 9 Kensington Square, London, a short stroll from Hyde Park, Grato is a chic Italian restaurant. With a focus on regional cuisine and the freshest ingredients, every dish is imbued with culture. Our handmade pasta is crafted with love in our very own kitchen; our wines are sourced from artisan vineyards. Our evolving menus reflect the seasons and celebrate Italy’s culinary wonders.
Dine on the ground floor overlooking one of London's oldest garden squares or you can dine alfresco facing the lush square. At the lower level is another dining room reminiscent of an Italian wine grotto - the perfect space for a celebration.

We accept all credit cards (no AMEX) & cash.Our outdoor tables are timed for 1.5hr to allow other guests to enjoy al fresco. We cannot always guarantee a seat of your choice. Thank you

Upstairs was busy, downstairs where we were was quieter but still filled up. Staff are amazing and the menu choices were wonderful. The specials sounded delicious too. The atmosphere on a rainy night was comforting and we were well looked after. Our water glasses were regularly filled and we were asked how the food was. It was absolutely delicious - we both had options we hadn’t tried before and were both very happy with our choices. If I was local I would definitely eat there regularly.

The perfect little neighbourhood restaurant! Delicious food never disappoints and super attentive service by the charming owner is delightful (and rare nowadays!)

The food and service were top notch. The waiters were very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to one of our waiters as we waited for our other guests to arrive. I forgot to get his name but he said he was from Honduras. He was delightful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
