**Great Blue Heron Grill, located in Blaine, Washington, is located 3.2 miles from Semiahmoo Resort.

The Great Blue Heron Grill at Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club features seasonal and locally sourced ingredients in a picturesque setting on an award-winning Arnold Palmer designed course. The restaurant is open to the public, so stop in and enjoy an elevated dining and cocktail experience for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch! We offer weekly specials and are happy to host your special event in the Private Arnold Palmer Room. Great Blue Heron features a variety of wines, available by the glass or by the bottle, cocktails, beer, and other beverages. Sit on our beautiful patio and enjoy this special location.

Sunday menus are Brunch (10-2pm), Lunch(11-4pm) Dinner (4-7pm)

                                            We had The scallops with risotto. They were really delicious. This is the third time we’ve been to this restaurant. It’s never disappointed us. The views out on the golf course, the fireplace. And the ambience in that the noise double was very low so we could have conversation. Gave me a free dessert for my birthday. Which I always appreciate.

                                            We enjoyed a delicious dinner. I had the warm Brussels sprouts salad and my husband had the risotto with scallops. Both meals were excellent but if I had to choose one it would be his hands down.

                                            We started with wine and an appetizer. The glass of Luke Cabernet tasted like it had been opened for a few days. The waitress graciously opened a new bottle and the next two glasses were as expected. The shrimp in the Piri Piri Shrimp appetizer was perfect but the sauce was so spicy it ruined the dish for me. I now know what Piri Piri sauce is though and I’m sure it was right on point. We both had the Scallop Risotto as our entree and it was outstanding. I was so happy to see it back on the menu!! We shared the crème brûlée for dessert which was also delicious. The most bizarre and disappointing part of the whole Valentine’s Day dinner was when I presented my gift card to pay our bill and was told they couldn’t accept it unless I agreed to give them the entire $300. Dinner was $150 without tip. The explanation was something about a new computer system that couldn’t split gift card payments. It’s all or nothing. I’ve been thinking about the strange interaction and wonder if they thought maybe I wasn’t going to leave a tip? I almost always tip 20-22%. Anyway, this poor experience will definitely make me think twice before returning to one of my favorite local restaurants. Crazy how you can have great food and great service, but leave feeling wronged.

                                            Nice menu, pleasantly surprised for golf setting. Cozy w fireplace in Fall-Winter, usiness casual attire. Service was impeccable, our server excelled at 2 women sharing a meal and dividing evertequally including starter soup! Some of the best pasta w Lobster I’ve ever had, large generous portions of Lobster meat, good quality. Fantastic salads. & nightly specials. Decent wine selection and fantastic bartenders. Our party will be back!

                                            We made reservations but didn't need them for Sun brunch. Somewhat limited menu but everything on it looked good. We were a group of 4 people. The eggs Benedict was happily customized to be vegetarian, the lemon ricotta pancakes, the prime rib hash and regular eggs Benedict were all delicious. Recommend place to go if you're in Semiahmoo, Blaine or Birch Bay areas.
