Founded in 2017 by owner/operator Brandon Smith, a Washington Crossing native, who has been involved with Bucks County restaurants for over 20 years. Grey Stone, the hidden gem of Newtown, offers sophisticated American comfort food in a vibrant, upscale casual atmosphere - just 3 minutes from the Borough! We beautifully refurbished the property formerly known as Lavendar Hall, continuing the prestige from years' past as a staple of the Bucks County fine dining scene. The restaurant features a food menu, by talented Chef Robert McNally, that changes by season to utilize the freshest of local ingredients. Our bar has twenty four craft taps, a cosmopolitan wine list and a thoughtfully curated cocktail list - committing to all food & drink enthusiasts! We are recommended for private or social dining, indoors & outdoors in our exquisite ambiance where historic charm meets relaxed modern upgrades.                                                   New chef, and the menu feels dummied down and basic. While the food was fine, it wasn’t remarkable. We left feeling disappointed and that it was no longer a reliable “go to” restaurant. What we used to love about Grey Stone was getting more of an eclectic blend of dishes that had seasonal influences and ingredients and diverse proteins, like duck, creative fish dishes (not just salmon and bronzino for two)…. Staff was attentive and friendly as usual. Bar staff continues to bring creativity with cocktails. I hope they up-level the menu soon and get back to what made Grey Stone a local gem in the past.

                                                  Nice varied menu; food was flavorful; fairly priced; friendly, attentive service. Nice pour on the drinks as well. I would return without hesitation.

                                                  Food was delicious as usual. Butternut squash soup was amazingly thick and creamy with pieces of crispy pancetta. The Peking duck pot pie was savory. The presentation with the huge puff pastry on top was beautiful. We sat in the romance room with a roasting fire and candle lit ambience. The owner came by to ask us about our meal. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.
