Named after our daughter Grace, along with the idea that a steakhouse can be graceful, whimsical, and elegant without being dark and moody. What started as a vision to keep the vibe light and airy while letting the outside in, has turned into an Award-winning design of which we couldn't be prouder.
This menu is truly meant to offer something for everyone, with often found steakhouse features as well as a plethora of seafood to truly highlight the best of the gulf and beyond. Prime, Dry Aged and local Wagyu cuts of beef in 4 to 40 oz. portions are available to satisfy any sized appetite. Innovative cocktails and wines from around the world top it all off -making Guard and Grace the place to be for happy hour, a couple's night out or your private event.
Our family, or Ohana, is a passionate group of culinary obsessives who strive to make memories that will last a lifetime. Houston is a special city that has stolen our hearts, and from the bottom of them, we thank you for joining us.

    Guard and Grace is thrilled to host the acclaimed “Second Growth” Bordeaux producer Chateau Lascombes for a five-course wine dinner that features their dazzling current releases as well as two special library offerings from the estate’s cellar. We will be joined by the Chateau’s new Estate Director, Axel Heinz, who is one of the most celebrated and influential winemakers in the world. Following nearly two decades at the helm of Tuscan icon Ornellaia, Axel is returning home to Bordeaux to bring a fresh vision to this historic house.     From the time we walked in the service was amazing! Our waiter was really attentive! We had to rush to a show and he helped us get out in time. The crab fried rice was delicious. Everything was delicious including the red fish & Mac and cheese. Omg the chocolate chip cookies are the best I’ve ever had in my life! I will definitely be returning! Especially for the cookies!

    First time to Guard & Grace - Houston!!! It was AWESOME!!! My steak came out "just the way I asked for it"!!! Dessert was wonderful too! Great atmosphere and I will definitely be back!

    Food and service were excellent, sea bass and bok choy were very good. Ambience is wonderful, as always. Highly recommend Guard and Grace to everyone

    In December, my girlfriend and I celebrated our birthdays, and with that occasion in mind, we decided to visit Guard and Grace Steakhouse in downtown Houston with my family. Houston has a wide variety of steakhouse options, and this was on our bucket list. As far as logistics, parking requires valet service at a cost of $20 before entering the restaurant. The service was exceptional; however, the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered the 8oz New York strip cooked medium rare. While it was indeed prepared to the correct temperature, it lacked flavor and was overly salty. My girlfriend ordered the scallop risotto, and while the scallops were well-cooked, the risotto was undercooked with a noticeably firm texture. My sister ordered the salmon, which had a very strong fishy taste and smell, and overall, it lacked much flavor. My parents ordered the filet mignon, which they also found overly salty and lacking in flavor. Given the variety of steakhouses in Houston that offer better quality and taste, I would not choose to return to Guard and Grace in the future. While I’m glad to have had the experience, the overall dining experience did not leave a lasting impression.
