GURU is a perfect example of fine dinning with art .The special ambience comfortably engulfs the diner, immersing them into a lusciously rich experience .Traditional Indian themes are seamlessly married with bespoke furnishings, mixing timber and creamy leather to create a contemporary and classic ambiance. The materials and finishes palette is truly rich and sumptuous, and accentuated by controlled lighting.

Our Chefs have taken Indian food to a different dimension with new techniques, innovative presentations and usage of healthy produce and spices. They have reinvented Indian food with unusual creations and pairings thus creating an exclusive gourmet dining experience.

The menu is a rich accumulation of Indian recipes evolved to the next level of modernity and served in authentic home style way of serving from a entrée dish.

                                                                    My group of friends asnd I had an amazing lunch. The food was excellent - so flavourful. We shared a number of dishes. The Vishnal's poutine, the Cauliflower 65, the Fish Moilee, the Mango chicken, the coconut shrimp, the naan and the coconut rice were our favourites. We'll be back to try the other dishes.

                                                                    First time at Guru, went based on strong recommendations from friends. We were very pleased! Food was excellent, served nice and hot, good presentation and very tasty! Our server was professional and friendly, attentive and discreet. The restaurant itself is well appointed, tastefully decorated, nice ambience, clean washrooms, etc. this will now be our “go to” place for Indian food (eat in or takeout). 😊

                                                                    As we were seated right beside the bar and the blender was going continuously it was difficult to have conversations. The portions of meat in the mango chicken , coconut shrimp and the mango paneer was extremely small. Delicious but for the price???

                                                                    We dined at the West end location. The ambience and decor were quite elegant and the service was super friendly. All of the dishes were superb, from the cauliflower starts to the lamb vindaloo and mango chicken complemented very well by the saffron rice and papadum, and the very well crafted spiced old fashioned and the pinot noir. Very enjoyable - we’ll be back!

                                                                    Overall we found that the food was not as flavourful as it is at other restaurants. It was good, but lacked the spice and flavour we’re usually looking for.

                                                                    The only critique I have is although the birthday desserts were very nice, probably one would have been ok instead of two. My one step daughter couldn’t eat it, which we informed our server that she was celiac.. The rest of us did eat bread in front of her so I can see how that would be confusing. But generally we try not to eat treats in front of her unless there is something she can have as well. I think it’s always just good practice to ask and then nothing goes to waste:) Great service and great food and we will definitely be back. 10/10
