My colleague and I dine out at Gus's for lunch somewhat regularly for business discussions because it offers a reasonable, elevated lunch experience. That day, I tried the often-recommended Brick Chicken with sauteed green beans and creamed corn, while my colleague enjoyed a chicken sandwich. I truly enjoyed the brick chicken. It tasted quite moist and, thankfully, not sweet ... more on the tangy side and definitely flavorful. The green beans had a good touch of butter and also hit the right note. The creamed corn truly wowed me. It had an almost souffle-like texture and the most amazing flavor. I have never had such an exultant experience with a simple vegetable side dish before. Normally, restaurants treat them a bit like an afterthought. Gus's, however, elevates this most basic dish to new heights. A few days before, I had dined near the Music Center at a renowned restaurant and found this creamed corn far more satisfying to the highly-touted "for the table" shared dishes from this tony dining establishment. Honest to goodness gracious - I considered this very straightforward meal of Southern cooking a much more enjoyable meal than the Music Center dinner. And yes, I have dined at 3-Star Michelin restaurants and know fine cuisine. My colleague also enjoyed their sandwich and especially appreciated the brioche bun, which they found one of the best they've had.請問這對你有幫助嗎？
