Hacienda Calavera is a family-owned authentic Latin American cuisine restaurant in Cicero, Illinois. Inspired by creating a cultural interaction through food with one simple goal in mind: creating a place where people could experience the authentic feel of Latin America with its gourmet food and delicious tastes, incredible live music and warm familiar and festive vibes.     Overall an okay experience! I was excited for customized menu because of our anniversary we received a normal one , no complimentary anything for special occasion reservations… Waiter did his best he seemed to be the only one in our area but he forgot our drink menu, then forgot our cutlery then forgot the tortillas that came with my meal then the tortillas were very cold ….also my husband an I realized our plates were similar so they made mistakes in the plating he had sides that were supposed to be on my plate and I had one of his sides on my plate …The check took forever even after waiting a long time to ask for it and they never asked for water refill during our meal or ask if we wanted any more drinks or if we liked dessert? Prices were reasonable food was delicious host were a bit on edge not happy but were polite. We have a good tip and were very respectful my expectations were probably based of TikTok’s my experience was just not what I was hoping for. So 3 stars overall but food was 4 stars i still recommend this place for regular dinners and outings not so much anniversary or other special occasions other than a bday

    The drinks was too strong and the food wasn’t that good. The music was too loud my party couldn’t hear each other. Two people didn’t get what they ordered. I didn’t enjoy my bday there on 12/22. Won’t go back.

    It was for my 35th Birthday and I can say this was the best I ever had. The food was seasoned to perfection. Ambiance amazing. I was singing and dancing all while I was there. I love the booth set up. I felt like a Queen. Overall Amazing. I will definitely come back.

    Great experience, I loved the food and the atmosphere . I went to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and we both enjoyed it. Is the best restaurant in Chicago !!!!

    Other than a short wait for our table, this place exceeded our expectations! Usually these places have one thing and not the other but this place had it all! The atmosphere was phenomenal, device was great, they helped celebrate a birthday for us and did amazing ! We appreciate the personalized menu with a crown and sash. The drinks were fantastic and IG worthy! Plates were delicious and very filling! We would come back for a celebration!!!

    We were not expecting this place to be so loud and overcrowded and it really ruined the evening for us. The music is blasting like you’re in a night club with the base vibrating in your chest the whole time, it’s way too much in my opinion and quite headache inducing. The decorations & ambiance are really beautiful, but you feel squished in like sardines at the table because it’s so packed and the space between the table and booth seat is too narrow. The drinks were not good, although the presentation was absolutely stunning, the ceviche was really sweet and the guacamole needed salt for sure. But the main problem was the level of loudness and a few at our table couldn’t handle it and we left without ordering entrees. This would be a great place to go for people who love social media & taking pictures, who also enjoy the “club like” experience at dinner.
