    Friendly and professional staff. The food was GREAT! Pricey, but well worth it for a special occasion. We had a New Years Eve dinner at HaLani and the ambiance was perfect! A covered yet open-air restaurant venue near the resort pool! A band was playing in the distance (not too close to the dining area, so not too loud). Perfect!Toward the end of the evening, a spectacular fireworks show left me speechless. Would definitely do again! Highly recommend!

    The food, service, and view were absolutely amazing. Dont hesitate to eat here. The balloon bread and steak were particularly delicious. Live music also added to the ambiance.

    Absolutely amazing. Our favorite meal in Kona. The food was so delicious, the ambiance so beautiful and the service so wonderful. Highly recommend this!

    We booked a last minute reservation after our first choice fell through. We really enjoyed the food and the view! The family ordered grilled halloumi and watermelon for apps. Salads I recommend the burrata and papaya. For entrees I recommend kebabs, caccio e Pepe, branzino. The side of mushrooms went really well with the noodles.

    Not a great experience- service was lack luster at best. Many open tables yet it felt like they didn’t have enough staff. Food was good not great. Would have expected much more in terms of the service and that would have have offset the average food.

    Great location with savory fresh ingredients. Kitchen was slow but the fantastic location help the wait. Great GF options and they have cauliflower pita bread.

    We have been going to Halani for several years now. It had become our favorite along this coast because of their gluten free options and delicious food. However, now they have gone with a Mediterranean menu? The delicious blackened ahi dinner is now a thin ahi steak with a tomato relish? Kabobs with no fresh fish besides shrimp? No truffle fries? No gluten free chocolate crunch cake? We were very disappointed in our meal, but we do love the hostess, Venessa, and our waitress, Ashley. We live here part time, but we won’t be going back until the menu changes. Also, the Ha Bar dropped their ahi sandwich and Makai’i salad? Our favorites. Hoping for more well rounded variety in the future.
