Halcyon is a fine seafood brasserie, specializing in the freshest local catches, boasting a full service raw bar, upstairs lounge, and tranquil atmosphere. At this time we are offering indoor dining and take-out Tuesday-Sunday. In order to ensure proper sanitation between reservations, we have a strict time limit per table. Phenomenal restaurant!! We lived in PA but were visiting. We went for our anniversary dinner. Almost makes me want to move back to Jersey! We started off with cocktails, I had the Headless Horseman and the Grimmlet, hubby had beers. Cocktails were awesome!! Headless Horseman is pumpkin spice liqueur, hard cider and vodka. Bartender was gracious and attentive. For dinner I had the tuna tacos and sushi, my husband had oysters and paella. So delicious!! Servers were attentive and gracious. For dessert we had flourless chocolate cake and apple cranberry crisp. Both really good!! Wish I could give them 10 stars!!

I’ve been a customer here for quite some time, but unfortunately, my last two visits have left me very disappointed. This time, we decided to try our luck at the bar, excited to finally snag a spot. However, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The bartender was unengaging and seemed almost annoyed when we asked about recommendations or descriptions of the menu. It felt like a hassle to him when I inquired about a specific sauce, and his reluctance to engage was noticeable. He did have a good recommendation on the beer on tap, but that was the most we got out of him the whole night. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty, the bartender barely checked in on us throughout the evening. Instead, he seemed more focused on catering to his friends at the bar, leaving other patrons, like us, feeling overlooked. For the prices here, I expect attentive, friendly service, regardless of how busy—or quiet—the night might be. With this being the second disappointing experience in a row, I’m sad to say I’ll be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Atmosphere is a big plus. Beautiful place, just a lovely setting. Food was meh— eggs Benedict was so weird with onions and things that should not be on it. And prices are unnecessarily high. Service was ok— pleasant enough but a bit slow. Have been before for dinner and would do dinner again but not brunch.
