HANNAH uses fresh local produce along with imported specialised Japanese ingredients to give an authentic and pure experience. The fish we use are locally sourced from the fishermen in Cornwall.

Compared to the plain traditional Japanese dishes, the fine integration of the European and Japanese elements at HANNAH provides a much more complex and original experience that cannot be found in Japan nor elsewhere.

HANNAH's owner chef, Daisuke, was trained for several years at the Michelin three-starred restaurant in Japan. Following his time in Japan, Daisuke worked as the Head Chef at Michelin 2-Star restaurant Mayfair UMU in London for six years. With the skills acquired from over twenty years of cooking experience, Daisuke opened HANNAH where the delicacy and elegance are formed and well delivered.

All in all, we aim to make your visit to HANNAH both memorable and unique.

Wonderful experience. Tasting menu, we just choose for the drink only, the schef will take care of the rest. We have tasted 9 different dishes, all of them were delicious. Original Japanese food.

The food was extraordinary. The menu is pricey but absolutely delicious. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Probably a good place for business dining though as it’s rather expensive and the atmosphere is more suitable for it rather than a date or special occasion. Overall a very nice experience. The toilets are a bit awkward though

My partner suggested eating at Hannah's when we walk past (our hotel was conveniently next door) but the graphics design of their bill board and the restaurant's street appeal just didn't.... appeal. However a reassuring visit to Tripadvisor suggested Hannah's would be good. So we ventured inside and are so glad we did. We had a really memorable meal (the mid range tasting menu - because there was so much we wanted to try) despite both of us being shattered and unknowingly coming down with a nasty cold. Hannah's food was delicious, interesting, different and also it felt so healthy. They accommodated my diabetes without fuss. The waitress was delightful and carefully explained each dishes. We'd Googled each dish before they arrived and this also helped our understanding and appreciation of each dish. Thank you again for a memorable meal Hannah.
