Step inside Harlot. Designed to be a feast for your eyes, our establishment is designed to make you feel like you’re an Alice in our Wonderland. This design by famed Miami designer Mark Lemkuhl (projects include Mandrake, Kiki on the River, & Mansion Night Club). Our design features are whimsical, beautiful and the perfect scenery for a night out. Located in the Cardozo neighborhood at 11th and U, Harlot is convenient to metro (1blk from U St. Metro). Our Menu is designed and executed by executive chef Horatio Davis (formerly of Capitol Hill Crabcakes and the super exclusive Alibi club)

Birthday dinner. The restaurant was nice, but could use more options on the menu. The food was good and drinks were great.

I made a reservation for 8 people and the only option was outside seating. Upon arrival, we were seated outside but at a picnic table. We couldn't hear or see the live band and be inside with the ambiance of the venue. And we were told there wasn't enough seating to sit us inside yet there were empty couches (pink couches near the restroom). So, we ate and left and went to a venue with a view. Our server was really good and attentive although we were seated outside under heating lamps. So, if you have a large party, book with caution.

Noise level was too loud to enjoy company. Host was rude and unresponsive. Young lady with black Santa hat. Gentleman at door checking ID’s was friendly, helpful and professional. Manager was nice and discounted undercooked food. Definitely an age limit with trendy younger crowd.

The restaurant refused to honor my reservation or even discuss why they allowed me to book. They simply said they weren’t doing reservations that evening. My party only consisted of two people. We made it on time and there were plenty of open tables. We traveled there by Uber since we are from out of town and this was a huge inconvenience.

The Banging Shrimp was old and the cook tried to salvage it by glazing it. I didn't realize it until I was missing my dinner party because my hind parts were glued to the restaurant toilet from eating spoiled shrimp. My G.I. tract is still mad at me. When you book on Open Table, please be aware that Thursday nights require you to spend $55 automatically on your meal alone. I was not privy to this info until I was shuffled around from table to table because the seating staff are unorganized and inefficient. The GM wasn't helpful and my Birthday night was a bust.

The decor is very pretty. The settings was good. It was a live band on Thursday. Very nice vibe. Will definitely go back. Server was amazing!!!!
