Nestled in the hills of Leucadia, Fox Point Farms is home to Haven Farm + Table, a new Californian restaurant helmed by Chef de Cuisine Kelston Moore and General Manager and Wine Director Ricardo Zarate Jr. Haven features the bountiful produce of the three-acre regenerative farm located just steps away from the kitchen. Delight in innovative dishes such as the Jerk Pork Belly Mole while dining on the terrace overlooking our lush fields, or sip a cocktail designed by Phillip Laethem in the stately yet cozy dining room.

    We absolutely love the ambiance here! The design and layout of the entire place is beautiful and spacious. I feel like they need a couple more fire pits outside so stay warm by. Its nice to arrive early and have a cocktail from the market around the fires. Grab some farm fresh items and freshly baked treats, sweet little market. The Haven restaurant upstairs is very nice and the service is top notch. The food is most certainly farm fresh and prepared wonderfully. We loved the prawns and hummus apps. I would say the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the meat both times I've been here. The short ribs were dry and a bit gamey because its grass fed, carrot finished beef. And the pork belly was tough and chewy, not sure why on that one. I prefer both to be bit more tender and juicy. The wine list here is also fairly eclectic, perhaps a few more known wines could be added. Other than that we enjoy this place very much and will be back to try more dinners!

    Spectacular experience!! We loved prawns and smoked chicken. Eager to try their salads. Also their bread and butter duet is so good it’s practically evil.

    I would have given 5 stars but the steak did not keep up with the rest of the meal. This will not stop me from going back. Everything was excellent, delicious and the service impeccable. Highly recommend

    Love the place and the concept. Service was fabulous. A farm based restaurant should have many more vegetable based entrees and use produce better. Cauliflower soup was lumpy and heavy. Dishes lacked balance and use of freshness, way too heavy. On the other hand the sommelier and wine choices were fantastic. Would come back just for those and a salad and hummus.

    It opened in August and we just discovered it. We loved the open design of the place. Savanah was our server and very attentive. The menu is fairly simple but sufficient in variety and they have many hearty dishes, all organic and well prepared. I have mixed feelings about writing a review since I hope it stays available to us on short notice, but I am sure it will become swamped over time.

    This is a welcome addition to the Encinitas dining scene. The architecture is interesting, the seats comfortable and the buzz lively but still accommodating of conversation. The menu is brief and interesting; the wine list creative. We had halibut and spare rib; both were well-cooked, tasty, and generous in portion. Service was friendly and efficient. We'll return.

    This was our first visit. As others said, the architecture is fantastic—like nothing around here! The mountain lodge and hops decorating is a bit odd, yet attractive. The menu changes seasonally. The fresh catch was line caught SD Halibut. We shared bread and (two types) butter (also two blends), Washington Oysters, and red beet hummus. All interesting and tasty. I had a “Pilsner” which was tasty, though (as I was warned) much hoppier than typical. My wife ordered a Napa cab blend; a bit delicate but nice. My entree was an absolutely delicious seared lamb loin. Perfect portion. My wife raved about the beef short rib. Only disappointment was my Espresso…chilled by a cold cup and not that great. We will be back!

    Haven Restaurant was absolutely beautiful! The food was incredible—every bite was bursting with flavor. On top of that, the staff was so friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience even better. I can’t wait to come back!

    The location and ambiance are great. The service we had was wonderful. However the menu was somewhat limited, and everything seemed a little overpriced... not outrageous but similar food and drink options can be found for far less. That said the pawns were outstanding, and I enjoyed the entire meal.
