                                We were very pleasantly surprised by Hawai’i Calls in the Waikoloa Marriott. Great food, wonderful setting and life music when we were there on a Saturday evening.

                                The food was very good and the location is beautiful but they need more staff. We waited a long time to be greeted by a server after we were seated.

                                Hawaii Calls is in a spectacular location on A Bay on the Big Island of Hawaii. Sunset views of the lagoon and Pacific Ocean beyond. If the food were mediocre and the service bad people would still come but neither is true. The food is good with a few items Excellent (salads, nut crusted fish) and the service is excellent

                                Overall pleased with the crab buffet, service and ambiance. Just wish there were a few more food selections. We do recommend experiencing the crab feed.

                                The small portion of mahi mahi was overcooked and hard to chew and the locally raised kanpachi was a bit too crispy (over-fried). Both dinners were way overpriced. The garlic mashed potatoes were just plain potatoes and had large chunks of unmashed potato. The sauce for the fish was very good and the jasmin rice was good. Although the food was just fair, the view of the sunset was fantastic and we did enjoy ourselves.

                                Not a terrible meal but menu is a bit limited and a little overpriced. Service was fine and good views of the sunset.

                                I was looking for a high end steak dinner in a classy restaurant. It's much more casual (which they did say in their listing, so that was my bad), and their steaks were not high quality. You do have a beautiful view of the sunset, but it's very very casual.
