We found the staff, atmosphere and food a very welcome surprise, the staff were so attentive and the food was so good! as a connoisseur of roast that was up there with the best!

Great Sunday Roast at Hawksmoor. Service was very good despite being there at a very busy time. We arrived a little early for our reservation but were seated and served quickly. The only downside to the visit was since the restaurant was very busy, it was very noisy inside.

Taking into account that you’ll be spending at least £200/300 for a meal, the service and ambience was like being in a cheap chain pizza restaurant. There is something intrinsically wrong with the service, very little eye contact from staff, not sure who staff are as don’t really have a defining uniform, had to ask someone to take our drinks order, our food order and then had to chase up on our food. We had a very simple order and still took 75minutes to get our food. Only redeeming factor was we enjoyed our food and wine. Will not be returning despite them offering us free drinks to come try again.

Had better service - party of 5 and for 2 courses failed to deliver the food at the same time. Food was good. Service let them down. Then the restaurant applied a 12.5% service charge automatically to the bill. Tips should be discretional.

Terrible, served completely the wrong steak then told by the waiter that was serving it, that its was the wrong steak and apologise. After he took it back to be changed. I had one off his colleagues trying to convince me that its correct and told me if I wanted it to be changed then it's going to be a long wait. Lovely way to be treated after I have becoming to Hawksmoor for years...
